As ScottG said, final box Q is not the most important thing, you don't hear it isolated in a normal living room, you hear a combination of room/boundary response and box Q.
I think we all understand that the in-room response we hear is not the same as the nice, smooth modelled curve of a specific Q. But as designers, we all have to start somewhere, then see what else we need to tweak and tune.
