Hi does anyone have the FRD/ ZMA files for the

Measurements of tweeter
Here are files from measurements I made last year. The spl isn't calibrated. The tweeter was mounted in an LS3/5a size mini monitor, with the mic at 17". So it is what it is. Adjust the spl to match the level on the spec sheet.

This is a repeated request, to have FRD/ZMA files for a XYZ driver. I suspect that almost everyone asking this is not aware that the FR files obtained are only valid on the box/baffle used for the measurement. So if placing the driver on another baffle or even placing it on the same baffle but in a different position will alter the FR. Moreover, if the FRD/ZMA files don't contain (correct) phase they are useless for crossover design.
So my advice, valid if one has access to a published graph with known conditions as this one, is to derive the files from the graph. I used FPGraphTracer and it works fine most of the times. You then have to manipulate the resulting FRD files in order to add the baffle step and diffraction effect based on the intended baffle/box, and then to calculate the final minimum phase. For the ZMA files you only need to calculate phase.

I’m pretty much a newbie to the hobby of speaker building, I’m actually a luthier and graphic artist, but I guess like all people ya gotta start somewhere and I don’t have measurement equipment apart from DATS V2 so it’s a steep curve ahead of me. I’ve tried the online calculators and found it a little hit and miss, but I stumbled on a YouTube video of vituix and it seems a step in the right direction, I tried the SPL TRACE. But I have to use my sons computer as I’m Mac based . And as much as I love my son he’s hard to keep on track and work things out with vituix. We managed to get the SPL TRACE working but I can seem to get them to load maybe a file extension issue?

Check the number separators written in the file, I think that you need to have 3 columns of numbers (frequency, data, phase) spaced by blanks, and the numbers should have the . as the decimal separator.

Get a microphone, any microphone and use it to make measurements with the drivers on your baffle if you have already purchased them. At the crossover frequency, any microphone and whatever sound card / mic input on your PC will work. I use Arta software. The free version lets you do a lot. I'm not sure if you can export an .frd file without a license.
