Gary Pimm boards are for a different CCS, with very high perfomance. I got my boards from a friend.
Must say that these are a alternative to the IXYS chips, which are very compact and work with minimal headroom voltage (have to check for Pimm's).
So I'd say that the IXYS is perfectly fine for the job.
If you're looking for a different solution to compare it with there is also the CCS proposed by SY (there is a GB running for it IIRC).

Good news
Hi all,
today I received the trafos back from Tector.
They weren't completely filled with resin but now the assembly looks much more solid to me.
Enclosed a photo....
Now I can start receiving payments.
Bank transfer is the preferred method within the EU, paypal is accepted as well but since I have no margin you'll have to cover its fees (3,9% + 0,35€).
I will try to contact everyone, if I miss someone just send me a mail.
Those who want combined shipping please remind me.

Output stage
I was thinking of using Thorsten's output stage too, but was thinking of feeding into a TVC passive pre.
Can anyone comment on whether this will work OK, since I know Thorsten has warned that his o/s was nt designed with significant regard to drive capability (i.e. the latest, CCS / choke version, not Adagio).

If the input impedance of the TVC is > 50k (100k probably better) I think you shouldn't have problems. Otherwise you might need a sort of buffer.
In case you use Gary Pimm CCS you have a buffered output for free (he calls it mu follower output) from the source of one of the Mosfets of the CCS. Cheap and effective.

I have the Stevens & Billington TX102 in mind. Quoting from their web site:
"The input impedance of the TX-102 is strongly dependent upon the load impedance and selected attenuation. The worst-case input impedance occurs with no attenuation selected, in this case the input impedance will equal the load impedance".
It also says,
"The full primary has around 200 Ohm DC Winding resistance. The same applies for the secondary winding. The primary inductive reactance at 20 Hz is in excess of 50 kOhm (400 H Primary Inductance) and thus provides an input impedance of more than 50 kOhm across the audio band if the secondary loading is infinite."
It also goes on to say that, with attenuation applied, the input impedance can go as high as 250KOhm in the midrange... so I'm guessing it will be OK. However, I don't have much experience at all with tubes, so can anyone advise what the output impedance of the tube stage is, or know how to calculate it?
I have a couple of 200H anode chokes I'd like to use instead of CCS, so will try those first. Can always fall back on CCS, with its free buffer, if it doesn't work out I guess.

I don't have the trafo here but I can see the colours from the photo and make a quick translation:
Nero = Black
Blu = Blue
Marrone = Brown
Bianco = White
Giallo/Verde = Yellow/Green (shield)
Giallo = Yellow
Rosso = Red
Rosa = Pink
Viola = Violet
Arancio = Orange
Grigio = Grey
If I missed something just let me know.

I got one of the Tector transformers from the group buy awhile ago and am just getting around to completing my DAC (rev1.1b). I had a question regarding the primary color coding. There are two pairs of 115V primary windings; blue/black and white/brown. What is their phasing for North American use? I looked all over Tector's website and I could not find wiring/color code diagrams. I have all the secondaries figured out, but need to know how to parallel the primaries for 115V use. Thanks!

I took a look at the label and realized from memory that I had messed up the pairs when I wrote the previous post. I confirmed with Tector that the correct wiring is as the below diagrams I sent them:
