Peavey Classic 30 problems

Hello,

I've a Classic 30 with two problems. The overdrive cannel don't work, and when I switch off the amp they make an horrible noise. I try to change vacumms and nothing... the problema still there...

Check R1, R2, R3 and R4.

This are for the overdrive or for the shutdown noise?

Probably both. They are the anode load resistors and tend to fail causing odd problems.

I solved the problem with the overdrive channel, I found copper trace problem with R11, C1 and R5.

But the shutdown noise persist. I discovered that when I pull down the reverb the shutdown noise dissapear... Porbably reverb tank damaged?!?

Reverb pan likely OK. Noise in electronics. The noise may trouble you aesthetically, but it is not harming anything.
