They will be fighting each other when they have unequal offset voltages, using separate feedback networks can solve that.

There are a couple of solid reasons why the above OPA828 phono preamplifier is superior probably even superior to the schematic in first post with no feedback jfets. One could replace the pearl3 front end with this and see how they like it
