Not exactly sure what you are asking....
but my Pearl's outboard power supply is rather simple since the majority of the filtering is on the main boards.
I just used a piece of Radio Shack perf board mostly to keep the smaller components on with the transformer's wires on one end and the outputs on the other end. This will vary for the kind of enclosure you choose to use. In my case, I used an old PC power supply enclosure mainly because it already had a power switch and an IEC connector already mounted. The perf board I had was the right size without having to do any more cutting of it to fit.

If you look at figure 4 on the perl .pdf file you will see that all you have to do is mount a transformer, 2 bridge rectifiers and 2 filter caps in an external box. All regulation is done on the perl PCB. You could use anything from pref boards to turret terminal boards. There is really no need for a PCB for the external power supply.
