Hello folks ,
I don't post here very often but I am hoping I can get some info from any Pearl 2 builders out there .
Before I pull the trigger on some PCB's I was wondering if this can be built without any specialist equipment ( ie oscilloscope ect ) ? .
Any input would be appreciated .
TIA ,
Phil .

Soldering iron and multi-meter needed.
That's great news , thank you .
Fig 7, the example external power supply, might contain an error.
The connection across the bridges needs to connect to the labled ground connection. Like a "H". You're extending the middle bar.
The article on passdiy.com is the same as when I built it. Fig 7 is still the same.
You should check the Pearl 2 thread and verify the connection or make you own dual power supply.

Buy a few extra ZVP3310, they are very static sensitive and about 1/2 of the builders zap one or two during construction. It's much cheaper to just buy a few spares straight away, than have to order one for $0.90 with $7.00 shipping...
Worth the wait, if more are being made. Probably the best board I have ever held in my hands. Well made.

I tried to register on the site but no go for now...😕 Ya, I'll wait.
For PCB, send the email to sherilyn@passlabs.com . Last time I talked to Wayne he said there were about 20 sets of Pearl2 boards left.

Have sent email requesting info..
Thanks
We do have the boards in stock and if I remember they came with transistors.
Thanks Wayne, Sherilyn has replied and I should be sorted Friday..
Kind regards
There's a partial BOM in the Pearl 2 article - https://www.passdiy.com/project/preamplifiers/pearl-2
All the resistors are 1/4w, the heatsinks are standard, input/output jacks are whatever you want, same with the ground post. a 4-pin XLR makes a good power umbilical, and this is perfect for the raw PSU (minus the snubber) -

Not sure if you want to send Iron across the pond, but this (or similar) would be ideal for the transformer - AS-0522 - 50VA 22V Transformer - AnTek Products Corp
