pcm1794a DAC Mute function

Hi,

I just tried with pin 14 to vdd and the noise is still there.

So to summarize:

When playing music everything works as expected, and if the dac "mute" pin is connected to +5V it turns off the music and there is silence (as expected).

When there is no input (not silence but cable unplugged or no signal going through toslink):
There is a hiss coming out (shhhhhh).
The "zero" pin is high, so the DAC recognizes that there is no signal.
Connecting the "mute" pin to +5V doesn't bring silence...

I double checked with all the other similar schematics I found online, and my settings and implementation seems to match.:scratch1:

This is such a shame, this projects just sounds amazing but is of no use to me with the noise coming every time...

Omg, I've met same problem as you - exactly - with dual mono Nos pcm1798.

But one thing that you - hug96 - think that this hiss sound just exists when stop/pause but doesn't come to music when dac sounds is ... wrong. It becomes the background noise when the i2s signal appears in the input.

I used wm8805 as spdif receiver but same problem...
