It's been active for at least a week actually.
And there are no samples, and I doubt there ever will be, given the cost of them. There are no samples for the PCM1704 either, although the K grade is even more expensive than the 1792

The TI samples come from Digikey anyway. Weird thing is that you can sometimes get things as samples that Digikey won't sell you.

Hi Maczrool,
Yeah, very weird, some parts can only be ordered as samples but if want to place a paid order, nowhere.....

Hi Steve,
do you still have the MSB adjustment schematic for the AD1851 & AD1865?
If you have it I would love to receive a copy as aI lost due to a computercrash.
Thanks a lot,
Best regards,
ELSO

Anyone out there who manages it to catch some samples of the PCM1792? I am intending to use these for a new DAC project. Did already investigate a discrete I/V converter to handle the large output current.

i am interested too!!
i have draw the PCB for DIR1703 + PCM1792, and OP-AMP output..
i stall waiting for the sample of pcm1792...

Same here. I have two designs waiting. One uses the PCM1792, the other use the PCM1704. Looks like the 1792 either hasn't had any wafers run or is being shipped to favored manufacturers only. luckily the 1704 design should keep me busy. It is has the I/V converter on a daughterboard for excessive experimentation 🙂 🙂 🙂
Has anyone used the PCM2702? It has reasonable specifications and requires almost no external parts and no software. I'm integrating one into my Aleph headphone amp, but I don't know how it might sound.
