IME you will get better resolution and performance using the K grade chip. I have experienced this with both PCM63 and PCM1704 and I don't see why this will not be the case with the 1702
Good question. For me the most interesting question is, what kind of audible effects are there by a listening test (assuming the best possible approach for an I/U converter is in use for both versions).currently using PCM1702P DAC chips. is there any difference if I were to replaced it with PCM1702P-K chips?

It would also be interesting to know if there are any audible differences between the early versions of PCM1702 from 1990 and later versions made in Korea - go to post #10 under
