PCM to DSD conversion solution

Hi all,

Anyone has any ' PCM to DSD conversion by hardware' solution info?

I'm very interested, but I have info about ElectrArt's one only.
Please share any info.
(Especially hard info for diyer's needed)

The Amanero adapter doesn't perform any PCM->DSD conversion.

I think a combination of DSD1794A and PCM4202 satisfies your requirement.

DSD over PCM is a de-facto standard. dsd

But there is few solutions about decoding the dsd stream from pcm carrier packet. I will develop a cpld program to do this decoding. Hope it will be a fun project.

Plenty of sense. A DSD dac uses different filtering which many seem to think sounds better. There are software players which convert PCM > DSD on the fly but the OP is seeking a hardware solution.

It is much easier to use a ES9018 based DAC.
Program registers for PCM like it is configured for DSD...
Then PCM sounds identical or even better than any conversion to DSD.

But if you intend to use a different DSD DAC then I understand your needs...
