Tried that but nothing to purge. Here's the result anyway...

😀 😀You could have redrawn it by now!
If you don't mind for butting in.
When I try to open it I get this. (see screenprint)
There is sure something wrong with your ACAD file.

Pinkmouse... I think you're right!
And you know, fanatacism is about extremism... but all the silly "star" shaped stuff is just that... silly. It's not art... it's science... put down a square of copper and put the connects around the edge. If you have friends that want to marvel at the star shapes... you need new friends (joking...sorta). All those angles will drive you nuts...
A few nanoOhms of resistive mismatch means nothing... unless of course you are going to weigh the amount of solder you put on each hole... and cut all the wires the same length.

Yes GeWa I get that also....
Make a new one because even if we get the dxf to load into PCB software... there is little chance that hole locations (or zero hole donuts) will yield a drill file.
🙁

Otherwise, take a look at this.
It's a nifty little program to design PCB's. Scroll down to the Scanning section. Maybe an idea?
Sprint Layout from Abacom

When I open it I get this, but need to be in the layout tab:

Actually GeWa,
I have PCB software. I was just trying to help this guy. He has software too I believe. Thanks though!😉

What version do you have?

Think its Autocad 2004
Looks like it would be better to re-draw the whole thing. I have Traxmaker 2000 but found it fiddly to use and the tracks where very thin.
I am new to this side of things, any advice would be welcome on how to re-draw the pcb easily.

I think the designer was just trying to make it look nice. A square would be fine, I'm sure. A smaller star point without the "islands" would be better.
