Hi Guys,
I am attempting to make some modest upgrades to my CA 640c V1, CD player.
I contemplating upgrading the RCA outputs. Please see attached image.
Does anyone have any advice or recommendations?
Kind Regards

Not really is the honest answer. They look OK tbh. Apart from a feel good factor I don't there would be any benefits and unless you had something physically idenetical it would not look good and could in fact be worse if you had to hard wire etc.
For real sonic improvement perhaps investigate such things as the type of opmps used and see if anything there could be a worthwhile improvement.

Do it. Do it.
If you are confident that you can solder new RCAs on a printed circuit board, surely you can solder in new opamps!

Thanks for the replies gents,
I may leave the RCA outputs alone unless I come across some exact upgraded replacements.
I have already removed the opamps and soldered in 8pin sockets whcih will allow me to trial a number of different op amps.
Cheers

Sounds like a plan...
What opamps are fitted on this as original ? and what do you plan on using ?
Hi Mooley,
teh originals are NE5532's. I have some OPA13XX'S lol I can't remember what I ordered right now. Also heard the LM4562's are pretty good also.
Cheers

The 5532 is a dual opamp. OPA13 "something" sounds like a single... no good.
I would suggest... particularly with you having sockets... that you try the TLO72. If you like that then try something such as OPA2604. These are both FET opamps.
The 4562 is the successor to the 5532... must admit I haven't tried these.
Also consider the OPA2134.
