Hi,
From a previous thread I thought I would put this on the forum.
Polychlorinated biphenyl - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Some old equipment pre 1978 may contain this chemical. A lot of people are already aware of this! If not please read the link.🙂
It is an oil type substance used in transformers and old capacitors. If you have a leak from old equipment and you are not sure if it is mineral oil it may be PCB.

Yes it is! Most equipment using it was taken out of service, however old capacitors and some expensive non leaking equipment has been left in service due to no leaks and cost!
If you get it on your skin it seems to evaporate, however it has gone in not evaporated!
Just thought I would bring it to people’s attention!
