Hello all .. just noticed some of the picture links are no longer in use .. I will update these this week
I've been thinking about doing something similar, as even the best pc cases I've found still look a bit too much like a pc case for my taste.
I'm interested to see the original pictures, as well as your new version build pictures.
The blu-ray player case is a nice idea, looks like it works well with the aesthetic of your other gear as well.
"Also I have notice as yet that neutrik do not do a USB3 or Esata connector yet"
Neutrik have now caught up and make a USB3 connector.

James, can you please update the original post with correct links to he images? I really like the look of the Blu-ray, but really missing out on he actual computer!
Thanks,
Rafa.
Thanks,
Rafa.
PC in a Rack case from scratch
Hello
Ok .. I have uploaded the pc in order of how I built the pc through the various stages of construction, so should be self explanatory .. so starts off with a custom chassis plate made from 3mm aluminium (this is laser cut to size) to the final stages. Please remember that this my 1st PC in a blank rack case so have learned a lot. Since this build I have made a 2nd pc with some learnings from the 1st build. I have a 3rd PC being planned ... so hope you like the pictures from the 1st PC

Yes, I'm interested, always glad to look real DIY projects! It's a good way to get ideas, prevent posible problems when attempting similar things, and just share our passions!

Very nicely done! This is great inspiration for me if I decide to go the same route.
I like the Neutrik panel connectors for just the connections needed. Instead of cutouts for all the motherboard connections at the back, like a standard pc.

Hello
I have completed a 2nd PC for my music and movies .. for some reason I thought I had posted them .. so had a couple of requests to repost my second build .. very pleased with this one, but the rear panel did take some time
