I have been blacklisted by possibly my objecting to policies imposed by my town which increases my county tax by 40+%. also my internet provider is not providing the services I pay for and they do not appreciate informing the media regarding not receiving what I pay for.
As a result of these situations, I received and opened a spoof email disguised as a personal friend email.
My I. P. address is blacklisted.
Due to gaps in my pc knowledge this situation is difficult to remediate. software programs do not work to remove my virus and/ or will not be accepted as sufficient proof to be removed from the blacklist.
Any advice would be gratefully accepted. thanks, Yero

Hi, if your ISP isn't providing the services you pay, i would dump them for another, even if you have to keep paying them until the conract is over.
The email may not have been due to what you think.
What software have you used to examine your PC for Malware ?
I can Highly recommend visiting https://www.wilderssecurity.com for tips & advice on security etc, & LOTS of excellent software which will help, many are Free 🙂

Be aware that an e-mail can be source of a virus and a good AV program would detect that .
I'm not quite sure what your situation is but it is possible that those who you criticized are responsible for it
In any event, I would suggest that you get a good AV program...... in this day and age it is not an option ..
I would suggest either "Kaspersky" or "Bitdefender" for AV.
There are some other good ones but, they are two of the top rated ones and I have used both .
Also, I highly recommend "Malewarebytes" for malware. I use the freeware version. which is all you need .
BTW, an ISP will not block your IP address but a web site can, preventing your access to it and this is perfectly legal .... I'm not quite sure what you mean here..

Thanks zero D & JoeDJ, Unfortunately or fortunately We live in a rural area. My internet service provider is possibly the only game in town With the fastest speed and bandwidth. I am bundled together with multiple TV's and the kids use wi fi with multiple devices including the ultimate mind buster XYZ Box. I'm not sure if satellite providers could be an option. My concern With my current provider is if they are willing to take me off the list? I believe they have the ultimate authority. there stated criteria for removal from the list is to have my computer professionally cleaned, what ever that means. I am trying to follow the directions from " malewarebytes " but first need to become familiar with "Ge-male". Punched cards were easier! Comments are gratefully appreciated!
joeJD, I can receive e-mail and send to most, through "Ge-male" service. I am not using my ISP mail service. If I try to use my 45 address I can not send to any one that is with the same provider. I am Not sure what You mean "which is perfectly legal..."? My I P address is on the B- list and my ISP confirmed this. My ISP called me just to confirm the receipt of a Spoof e-mail. So are you saying ISP can not block. Clarification Please. Just removal of virus can be accomplished, My concern is how to get un-blacklisted. Thanks in advance.

It sounds like your PC is infected by someone on the PC visiting an infected www, or via email etc, that unknowingly to you, installed some nasty. From what i can establish from what your ISP has said, it appears that this infection is sending out SPAM etc to numerous other people, by using your PC as a BotNet. That's why your ISP has taken that action etc.
Malwarebytes is Very good, but if you're having problems i suggest that you join their forum & heed their advice on how to use it & get Uninfected etc.
