Patco PTS-30 thermal stripper

Hello. Can anyone comment on the quality of this thermal wire stripper? I have been burned in the past with two units (not this make) which did not perform ..barely heated up at all.

Excellent!

I have been using mine since early 2020 (Teflon wire and coaxial cable) and have had no problems at all. I am surprised by how long the blades last, and if you are very careful, you can re-install used blades, something the manufacturer specifically recommends against due to "weakening" of used blades. As I occasionally use different blades for different needs, this trick has saved me a few bucks.

Also, if you are purchasing this for use with Teflon insulated wire (it's recommended use; if you want to also use it with PVC you will need to reduce the line input) you will be quite pleased with how little smoke this critter produces compared to other types of thermal strippers.

Yes, that is what i want it for: teflon wire. Using anything else is frustrating: regular strippers don't quite do it and one doesn't want to nick the wire with a sharp blade. Thanks, i will go for it.
