Passive switch for my 8600s

I got tired of going round the back my 8600S and having to tread carefully because of the wires at the back so decided to use some old parts lying around.
I dont hear any audio degradation but was surprised that I could hear the 1st input's audio when I switched to input 2 but I also had the volume cranked up on my Zu speakers, but in any event I dont play more than 1 source at a time and happy with the "el cheapo" outcome 🙂

Input selector switches leak noise and signals from other sources, as they never turn off the other inputs completely. If you look at Higher $$ gear Sealed Relays (PCB board connected to Selector switch) are used for each input. When an input is selected, that relay closes giving you the best connection possible. All the other relays are left open, so noise and signals from other sources can’t leak in.

Agree that relays are the best route, just wanted to use my existing parts.
