Probably a stupid question, but if I have two identical PR subwoofers, placed side-by-side, would that pose any problems? The active driver firing into the passive, would that cause any issues? Or am I worrying about nothing?

if u put them across from each other they will balance them selves out beyond that i dont think so.
Normally with two subwoofers, ported or sealed, if you put them next to each other they couple, right? So you get more output that way.
A PR sub is really just a ported sub without the port, correct? So placing both next to each other won't cancel sound or anything like that?

Bass will couple when the cabinets are placed within 1/4 wavelength of each other.
Separating the cabinets may smooth the room modes, which may be preferable to more gain.
Try different placements and hear what works best with your room and main speakers.
