Hi all,
I am placing my question here because I am mostly a speaker guy and my knowledge of the finer points of electrical engineering is somewhat crude.
My question is: How does the load of a PLLXO affect the performance of the pre-amp? Say the output impedance of the pre is 2 kOhm and the input of the power amp is 100 kOhm, and we have a high pass RC filter (or a low pass one) where C = 0.47 uF and R = 2500 ohm: How does this affect the load the pre-amp sees?
AND if we place a potmeter (100 kOhm) at the end of the RC filter, will that load be parallel to the power amp impedance 1/(1/100k)+(1/100k) = 50k?
Sincerely
Kris
