I havesome of the FAIRCHILD devices that were for the F5 build I never started.
Would these be suitable for this amplifier?

Isn't FQA12P20 a P-channel part?
Perhaps you're thinking of its n-channel complement in the F5, the FQA19n20c?
Thanks,
Dennis

sorry
of course you got it right .... I just ignored polarity , looking at xconductance , Rds and capacitances
in fact - why Rick asked for P part , in first place ...... just confusing poor ZM

You know how often I get this stuff wrong. I saw the P in the original and thought that was what is being used.
I have the N version of the FAIRCHILD, also.
The question is: will there be any good difference between using these or should I get the specified MOSFET? At two dollars a piece I can afford to get the IRFP240s if they will work better! (big spender)

Thanks,
I was hoping you were going to tell me I was the luckiest guy in the world to have those devices in my possession.
Always hoping ...
Thanks and take care,
