I am looking for good SS amp for my Audio Note M6 preamp. I was looking for a tube amp but I cant seem to find a tube amp that is transparent, powerful as well as musical at the same time within my budget ($4k). The Pass SIT2 seems like an SS amp that behaves like a triode. Has anyone heard it ? Please share any sonic impression about them if you have auditioned it.

why not just build one yourself ? look at the L'Amp SItAMP blog 🙂

Sorry, I did not mention it. I am not into DIY. I can only buy a pre-built unit. I was looking for some sonic impression of this amp.
if 10W/8R/ch is with what are your room/spks/ears happy , then you'll hardly find anything better ........... from any technology realm
I didn't had experience with real McCay , but I have some experience with original Pass SIT parts , in similar circuit
I intend to make pair of monoblocks with them , in sort of SIT-2 circuit , as my final amps (later building just for fun )

My speakers are Tannoy Turnberry SE. I listen to all kinds of music but not too loud.
ZM's advice is spot on. Plus, as with any Pass Labs product, you will get excellent service and a product that is next to indestructible.

Not the same. Something higher is achived by using the Pass-SIT Fet in L'amp topology. Wish I could get my hands on it.
Mike gives his impression of the Pass-SIT-1 Fet. I imagine the Pass amp version sounds at least this good. 🙂

FW or some DIY version ?

I confuse the two. I mean the mono-block version.
Person I know has the monos. He said the monos are the way to go, dispite the wattage being the same. He uses Zu Dominator, I think that's the speaker. Definately Zu Audio. Something like 101db effecient.
