That thought crossed my mind.
Just the sheer violence of the experience was really interesting. It was more like a rave than a rock concert. But you couldn't hear a damn thing. It was more physical than audible. Just the amps on standby before they started with all the noise from the mics was louder than the opening band when they were playing.
In all seriousness, I have hearing issues from (I think) headphones, loud guitars and muscle cars with no mufflers when I was younger. Sometimes, in a quiet room by myself the sound of the room sound will change...background noise will suddenly just hiss and ring from one side, kind of like when your ears pop after being on a plane. It's extremely unnerving and scary. YOU DON'T WANT THIS.
