for couple of years I'm thinking about Big AMT, and only God knows how many speaker drivers I already have ........

Yup, the first two large speakers I had to have were those big Heils, Down firing woofer, etc. (The other was the Altec A7.) To make this all the worse, The Drivers to build one are still available. I found the A7s. Still dont have the Heils. My head is telling me to shut up and just build that nifty single woofer SLOb Pass W/OB project floating around here.

Then, the head will again bother me in earnest about the Heils.....

I started to explore the kithara speaker which appears to be the work of Mr. Heil coupled as the tweeter to the LX mini (instead of the full range) and then had to move before I got to finish it. Am going to pick back up on that project soon. The great Heil weighs around 12 pounds and thought was to suspend it with all-thread from the ceiling centered over the woofer. Fortunately, my wife is very accustomed to my “science fairs”. : )
