good match , yes

regarding switches - start with settings for lowest gain

if needed ( Vol is maxed and you need more SPL) choose next setting to increase gain

The output impedence of the P varies since the volume control is at the output. But I never had any problem using the P to drive 30-40ft cables into Aleph 2s, which have about the same input impendence as the X150, even though I tended to have the volume near maximum level (and the gain knobs at minimum, as recommended).
