I have just purchased a lathe and milling machine and will be starting to make some practice pieces soon.. I am intending to do some volume control knobs and milling of front panels.. If anyone would be interested in anything let me know.
I will post some pictures when I get sorted to show what sort of things i can do.
Basicaly I should be able to produce almost anything within my capabilities with the machines I have, so if you have something one off you need I can try!

Been playing last couple of days.. mainly with wood, tried a 40mm x 50mm bit of aluminium and it turns real nice.. looking for a local source for stock aluminium round bar which is prooving to be harder than i thought.
If anyone has any round bar in any metal let me know.

I buy metal stock when I need it from Chronos, don't know if they do what you need.

Yes i got my kit from chronos too... mind i must say, the price of the metal has been quite a shock.

yes, metal has went into the stupid region of pricing.
Over here in the states any steel not bolted down will be picked up for 10 cents a pound. Aluminum, copper and brass will vanish before your eyes.
I sometimes find aluminum at sign shops. Up to 15 gauge, it will have vinyl on it but that comes off with a razor blade and the scrap yards will sell you scrap so don't forget to have a look there.
Anybody who wants any lathe or milling work done.... I can make knobs from anything that can fit in the lathe.. I can drill and countersink front and back panels for plugs, sockets, LED's, ect. Soon as budget alows I will be buying some milling tools so i can make panels from raw stock.
If you have the material you want to use for a job, contact me and I will provide address to mail it to me.. For front and back panels send panel complete with a paper template for location of holes and countersinks.
