I am beginning to put together my parts for an SSE kit and I notice that many of the first few parts I am searching for are obsolete. Is there an updated list of some sort? What is the expectation here? Do I just find an equivalent on my own, or is there a recommended process? Thank you for your time, this is my first audio kit of this nature.

The passive components (resistors,capacitors) are just to search for the same rating, dissipation for resistors and peak voltage for capacitors.

I have been using the sites on the worksheet, mouser and digikey, and looking up the part numbers provided. I only got a few parts deep from the top and the majority of them were obsolete, so I figured I would ask before I went further.

What OldHector said, and if this is using a PCB be sure to check the lead spacing. In Digikey or Mouser I start by checking 'in stock' and then the lead spacing - saves time.
