The tweeter on my Studio cc690 v4 center channel has seen some physical damage from kids/cats?
I'd like to replace it with the correct part. Does anyone know what I need and from where? I'm in western Canada if that matters. I'm sure I could contact Paradigm and pay the premium but I'm cheap.
I don't get on here much latley so email might be quicker... thanks!!!

Can you show us a picture of the damage? With some luck it is merely cosmetic damage; with a little less luck, you can buy a replacement voice coil assembly; but if you are SOL, you must buy the whole thing at retail price from the manufacturer...
Just a thought. Paradigm often uses the same tweeter through out a given line up. IOW you may fine that the tweeter is the same in all of the Studio CC____ version 4. If so you may be able to find one of the lesser models from Studio line up version 4 in a used one for less than what Paradigm wants for just a tweeter.
If you want to explore this route let me know as I should be able to verify if the same tweet was used across all Studio version 4's.

I'm away for work for the moment.
I'll post pictures and more information when I'm home....
Thanks guys!!

a bit futher information...
here is a picture off the web of the tweeter "pod" (with small mid). I'd guess this is probably what Paradigm sells for the $380. pretty sure it's just the dust cap that's damaged.

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Does it affect the sound? If not, why fix it? I have to believe that a replacement voice coil can be had for much less than the $360 quoted, probably around $100. It might be a diy job to replace it.
