Found a pair for $30.00 in great working condition i wonder what is the max RMS i can drive them with? , Nice speakers built in Canada. they have a 8 inch sub and is a vented ported box.

I fixed a pair's crossover's for a friend once and even though the tweeter had no markings other than a Paradigm part number I suspect it's an OEM Vifa D26. Rare find in relatively affordable speakers. Even though the original crossover is a bit simplistic the sound quality of the speaker surprised me. Whoever tunes speakers at Paradigm is fitted with a high-end set of ears.

Thanx Willi . Im driving them with 50 RMS right now. And yes they sound quite tight. I have a similar pair of Infinity but is a seal box not ported, They sound quite close, the Infinity tweeters are a bit more noticeable . and of course the Paradigm sounds deeper becouse of the port but still they are quite close.
Paradigm is a respected name in the business and it's easy to see why. Even their most basic models are consistently rated well above their price range even though many of their models cost well above $1,000, some many times that. As far as I know they design their own drivers. The original price for your 7se's in the late 1980's was around $450 so $30 is a steal. I mean one tweeter like those costs $30 by itself.
I owned a pair of these back in the late 80's. They were an incredible value for the money. I had them paired with an NAD receiver, Thorens turntable and a Mission CD player.
Sometimes I wish I'd never sold that system.
The crossover is really simple and at the very least I bet it could do with new caps. For thirty bucks, you're getting one heckuva deal.

I also pick up a Teac EQA -10, equaliZIR for $19.95 in almost like new condition and a Belkin optical mouse also like new for $3.00 "and both work" . I suspect something is wrong or lots people are force to move out becouse i never seen this amount of equipment ending up at thrift stores "this particular store have been in biss for a long time " but lately lots of stuff pouring in" i got my Marantz 6000 DC from the same store for $30.00 and is extremely clean and only the power cord was missing. I seen more profesional looking EQ there but they were a bit rough. Teac stuff is not too bad. If i see a quality brand in very good condition i grab it. oh i forgot a new like = Targus Cln5 Leather Notebook = $12.95 they sell for around $90.00. Im starting to sound like the = Antique Road Show!.........wHO kNOWS maybe a Carver amp might drop in. or a nice tube amp in wish this morons would think is worthless and price it at $20.00 "well not bad if for me it only needs tubes at best".
He he he, one thing you won't find is cheap tubes, NSC-Sovtek knows they don't have any competitors in that field. I guess that's the price to pay for democracy in Russia, back in USSR days Sovtek tubes were a heck of a bargain, and darn good tubes they were. Would last forever whereas pricey $ylvania tubes went poof after 2-3 years.
