hi so this weird 70s boombox - the vu meters only work on record - is it possible to feed them with the line output / perhaps with a resistor/ variable - im not an engineer - cheers

Almost certainly yes but you would need the circuit details to see how it really works and where to both take the line signal from and where to feed it into the meter circuit.

hi plan - disconnect vu from circuit - feed directly from back of line sockets - i dont care about any other functionality - circuit board a nightmare to access

variable resistors?
