-I finished with my project and i am very huppy with the results.
When i watched the first movie with vga input from my laptop the
picture quality was very good!After that i wanted to watch tv,ps etc. and i start looking for a pal/ntsc to vga converter.I did my search and i bought a ps to vga converter that is the only one i
found that was 800X600 output.I bought that unit for 65 euro plus 10 euro for the power supply that was not included as this baby was taking 7,5volts dc from the memory card slot of the play station 1 or 2.When i set it up the results was not that good,very poor contrast,washed out colors plus the hole think made me not want to hook anythink else except vga!I think that someone of you has expirience the same think!I searched the internet and i found a lot of converters but i can not trust any!Has anyone something to propose?Some model that is working better?
Note:i tried only the pal inputs i did not try the ntsc,i know that ntsc might be better because v sync is the same only h sync goes double but all my equipment goes for pal!Is there any solution before i decide to built a HTPC to work with the projector?That would cost a lot and would be difficult to carry the projector to my country house during the weekends.
Oh my setup is:
-optics from the 1750 3m OHP (condenser lense,fresnel,stage glass,projection triplet).
-Osram HQI-250W TS D(5200 kelvin,19000 lumel,rx7 socket double ended bulb with uv stop)
-15" sharp lcd panel from a l360 eizo tft monitor which i had to extend the side ribbon!!!!!
All the above in a custom wooden encoser i made,soon i will post pics.

You can make your HTPC very small...Just don't put it in a computer case...There is a nice example of someone who put one in a small aluminum toaster (the thing that cooks sliced bread).
