PA Amplifier and Equalizer APO gain knob do not match?

Hi, my PA amplifier has the double watts RMS needed for my speakers, so I put the gain knob -3db. I started using Equalizer APO as a DSP for my sound system, and I want to have the knobs on the amplifier all the way up and put the -3db gain in the pc. But it's not the same, I tried to match the volume, and I ended up putting -6db to -10db in equalizer apo, someone can explain why?

How much -DB I put on Equalizer APO to match the -3db on the PA amplifier?

Thanks...

Say Your amp outputs 100W with a 2V signal. If You feed it with a 1V signal, it will output -3dB. What's Your 0dB PC output signal ? 1V 2V 5V ?

You have to set the -3dB on the PC but then use the main volume to match the 1V signal. If the amp has a VU it's simpler. Adjust the volume until the -3dB led lights.

Good, is it Portuguese ??

I have a PA amplifier, I only have the DB buttons, and the back of the amplifier, where I use 1V signal input. I use a scarlett solo focusrite as a sound card. I use (Equalizer APO) as a crossover, equalizer, etc ... The problem is that the (-3db) on the amplifier knob is not equivalent to the (-3db) on the Equalizer APO preamp, which I have placed between (- 6db to -10db). Underlying the Equalizer APO uses a different DB measurement.

Why? What are you trying to achieve?
"-3dB" only affects Gain, not maximum output Power, by any means.
Please state Amplifier Brand and Model; a direct link to user manual would be even better.

Same question as above.

Hard to answer unless we clarify the doubts above.
In any case, matching volume by ear is quite inaccurate.
