To make a .pdf you need a PDF-converter such as Adobe Acrobat. This of course costs money. Ther are freeware programs like PDFCreator which is OpenSource and is based on GhostScript. It installs as a printer driver. You can send any document from any application that supports the standard windows printer to it and it will be converted to PDF.
Alternatively I can do it. We use Adobe Acrobat at work, which gives the best results (smallest file size). Just send me a .zip or .rar archive (use best compression) with your scans in .bmp format.
Sent you my email-addy.

@EL Nino
Any progress?
Do you need help?
@Jaegger
You don't need the remote, as long as you don't need the remote-only functions, which are meant to support presentations. Zoom, mouse-pointer, timer and drawing lines that is.
I'dont know where to get a remote. Sharp most probably does not have them in stock anymore. So you will have to find someone with a broken panel, who has a remote spare.

First of all thank you very much for creating the .pdf.
Maybe it's too big.
Or it's not an appropriate file format (gif, jpg, png, txt, zip, bmp, jpeg on this forum only).
Zip it down as much as you can
and try again. If it still doesn't work, the file most probably is too big. I don't know the filesize limit on this forum thou.
Perhaps you can send it via email to those who want it. I'll send you an email with my address.

The file is 4.8 mb. I made the PDF with Adobe Acrobat.
Can this be zipped down smaller?
I have Winzip but I can't figure how to zip a PDF.

I'm afraid to tell you that something went wrong with the upload.
The file you get is only 70 kb in size and although I can see the content of the archive in WinRAR (the .pdf), the file of course is corrupt (unexpected end of archive).
Again my guess is, that this is due to file size reglementation of this forum.
So you have to either upload the file to some webspace of yours or send it via email.
Sorry EL Nino

Get some free webspace on the internet, upload the manual and post the link here.
I'm not familiar with the current offers on free webspace.
Try http://www.freewebspace.net/ , http://www.free-webhosts.com/ or similar sites (google: free +webspace) to guide you to the best offers. Make sure the host of your choice allows downloading big files (in your case 5 MB).
Pls, pls send this manual attached to an email to me. I was waiting for so long I can't stand it anymore.

Split PDF Zip file
Try using a program that splits the big zip file into more managable size. You can set it up for 1.3MB size (floppy) and send them in parts. Later we can unzip them back.

OK, I'm a "new guy" here. I found this forum while searching for anything QA-2500 related, as I have a QA-2500 remote to sell, and was looking for an indication of how much use these panels still see.
More to the point, I have a pdf scan of the QA-2500 manual that I can email, or possibly host on my Compuserve account for a while, if anyone is still needing a copy. It's about 2.5 MB in size.
Sorry I didn' tsee this forum/thread sooner; I've had this manual sitting around for years.
I also have a power supply for the QA-2500, if there's any interest....
Steve.

QA-2500 Manual
STEVEDORE,
That will be great if you can post the manual. Concerning you other questions maybe other members could answer them. I'm new to this projection DIY.
We all will appreciate having the information on the manual.
Thanks, 😀

Still in need for the manual! It would be great if you could send me a copy of the .pdf. You'll receive an email with my address soon. Thanks in advance.
What happened to your panel? Did you break it?
For the remote, Jaegger is searching for one (see page 2 of this thread). Mail him! He'll be delighted.
EDIT: i can't send you emails through the board. That's bad, cause I don't want to publish my address here (spam paranoia).

OK, I had to split it into 3 parts to meet the upload limitations on my Compu$erve account. URLs follow. I'll also try to change my profile on this board to allow me to receive emails, in case you have trouble downloading, in which case I'll be happy to email you the full pdf file.

El Nino- I used the full Acrobat software, which, among other things, lets you extract pages & save them to a new file. (It took me about 3 tries, since I kept forgetting which pages I had already saved. I have a short attention span...)
Steve.
Steve.
I went out and got Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Professional just for this .
I did'nt see anywhere where you can split the PDF.
Anyway I'm at least glad someone else was willing to share. 😉
Thank you very very much!
Everyone give stevedore a round of appluase!😀

I'm using version 5, and under the Document menu, there's a selection "Extract pages..." that lets you select a page range that you want to save as a separate document. It was trial & error to find the number of pages to get the file size I needed for each part of the manual.
