I used to browse vintage magazines for vintage turntable specifications to learn and to know what the fuss was about garrards, thorens and lencos. Vintage turntables article used to say below NAB levels or 'extremely low' for rumble figures. Then I got confused with ARLL, NAB, DIN specifications. However you may find comparatively good info. Articles are in pdf in following link and list of turntables below the link
RADIO and BROADCAST HISTORY library with thousands of books and magazines

you will have to go to Audio magazine menu/title and click appropriate month/year links.
1) Audio Magazine July 72 (Lenco 75)
2) Audio Magazine Sep 62 (Thoren TD124)
3) Audio Magazine Sep 72 (Various turntables specswise list)
4) Audio Magazine June 72 (Various turntables specswise list)
5) Audio Magazine Sep 71 (Various turntables specswise list)
6) Audio Magazine Sep 77 (Various turntables specswise list)

I have also collected tonearm articles and taken paper printouts to learn about various tonearms aspects.
