Vox Solid State "Super Beatle V1141" Series from mid 1965 - supplement to post #15
The Vox "Super Beatle V1141" instrumential Amp was equipped with 2N2292C (2N2292) Germanium Power Devices from Solidev Ltd. Perhaps this transistors produce the so called "beatles"-sound.

Vox first SS Amp T60 ("T 60) equipped with Mullard's OC28
Any info about the designer? Maybe Tom Jennings or Dick Denney? First Edition lauched either end 1963 or begin 1964 (see schematic). The power output devices, Mullard's OC28 certainly have a very good reputation. Inside photos I don't find. Perhaps one of you can try contact the seller from the ebay auction Item No 190398362335

Luxman SQ-707 first Silicon SS Amp equipped with Sanken 2SD92 (SEPP)
At rear side I read the model "SQ-707" and on the front panel "707" and "707E". It must be the first silicon solid state amp from Luxman. It could be, that there are an earlier all transistor model from Luxman, but then equipped with germanium power devices.

Hagström GA-85 Model 1700 Power devices outline like #27
First launched 1963 or 1964. First solid state amplifier from scandinavian. The first solid state amplifiers in general are not to find by home audio and public address power amps but by instrumental amplifiers - so I think - 1957 worlds first solid state version from Cervin Vega - also here mentioned.
Here now some pics and URLs to the Hagström GA-85, also schematic:

Rosetti Triumph Amplification - schematics and pics wanted
Equipped with four Goodmans 12''
no tubes and no germanium power devices in the output;
the Rosetti TriumpH RC100L RC70L RC70B 100 Watt Lead Amplifier - unfortunately no informations
(I want schemas and inside photos) but very nice description:
Silicon puts the POW in Triumph
Valves gets hot and pack up. Germanium Transistors stay cool but pack no punch. Silicon Solid State devices sustain the power, cut the sizzle, take the punishment, hour after sound packed hour, week after succesful week. That's why Triumph choose silicon, then add printed circuit and deliberately over specify components. So that the player can play, without fear of that maddening failure, with full power right through the frequencies, with absolute clarity and superlative tone throughout the full volume range. What's more, matching is simple. Speakers of any impedance can be used with Triumph, without distortion. Saftey is the last Word. Triumpf is proofed against short circuit and over stress. Proofed against the normal risks of transport and movement. Triumpf is the last word in every way.
Guitar effect on 'Gimme Shelter'?
