My room's where I'm going to put an overhead projector with lcd panel on, and it would probably be closer to five to eight feet from the screen, which is a windowshade , about 60 inches across, screwed into the wall. Would a 2000 to 3000 lumen ohp be sufficient, because I understand 4000 lumens puts out a great deal of heat, although it is bright, or should I just pop for overkill and go with 4000?
I don't know about 4000 lumen but I have decent results with 2000

For 72" screen projector is some 9 feet away. LCD panel is 8.5 inches.
If I used 15" LCD I would have to keep projector much closer.
Cheers!
