I'm looking for good output transformers with a nice even frequency response. On the tubelabs page I've seen recommendations for Edcor, but the lead time is ridiculous. Are there equal or better options available, y'know, sooner?
You can buy One Electron transformers from Antique Electronic Supply... Or hold your nose and buy Hammond iron...
I talked to the nice lady at Edcor yesterday regarding their lead times. Onetics, Magnequest, Classictone, etc have all left Edcor picking up the slack. That in addition to covid and the supply chain have really push the lead times long.

The recommended UBT2 isn't among the options from Antique Electronic Supply at the moment.
Hold my nose? This went over my head... do Hammond transformers smell bad? I bought a Hammond power transformer for my build. Are their OTs no good?
Some people don't regard Hammond very highly due to quirks in performance and workmanship. However, they will sound loads better than the perfect unobtainable transformer...
Another option might be the Musical Power Supplies Hi-Fi series, recently introduced (OT10SE). Some guy on Fleabay is also offering Hashimoto transformers, but those may be way the heck out of your price bracket.
I had Hammond design some output transformers for me and they did a wonderful job on them. Plus, they did redesign the entire line of output transformers.
The old ones were no worse than others I have run across either. I really don't know what the fuss was about. But then, years ago Marantz was "junk" and now everyone loves them. Go figure.
