Output transformer for 18watt

I'm not sure I follow? 😕

All we're looking to figure out is the DC resistance of the primary, which he did. From there we can deduce the winding ends and center-tap.

The primary's inductance may be an issue in an impedance measurement, but he was only checking resistance..whether the secondary is shorted or not should make no difference on the primary's DC resistance.

Or am I missing something? 🙁

Every single Hi-Fi OPT I have makes trouble for both my FLuke and HP DMM when I hook it up to measure resistance. That function drives some current through the coil and if there is enough inductance the reading jumps around if the secondary isn't shorted.

Finished my 18watt amp tonight. And it works flawlessly on first powerup
That has never happened before. I am very pleased with the sounds, and the tremolo is very nice indeed. I used shielded wire on the trem channel tube, and it is noisefree, as long as there´s a cable in the tremolo jack. if I pull out this jack, the amp is quite noisy? I think I read somewhere that this is normal?

The B+ and plate voltages are normal...next thing will have to be calculating the plate dissapation... and build a cabinet of course...

Thanks for all the help
