hello, im new on this forum., i have a question, i have E'I' core with 1" center leg from 3 ampere power transformer that i salvage lately, my plan is to build my own guitar tube amp and plan to rewind and use it as my output transformer. would it be good for it? i have my power tube 2x6L6GC and have 3x12ax7. Spec on 6l6 that i soon to build Typical Operation, Class AB1, Audio Power Amplifier (Values for two tubes)
DC plate voltage 450 V
Screen grid voltage 400 V
Control grid bias voltage -37 V
Peak AF grid-to-grid voltage 70 V
Zero-signal plate current 116 mA
Maximum-signal plate current 210 mA
Zero-signal screen grid current 5.6 mA
Maximum-signal screen current 22 mA
Load Resistance, plate-to-plate 5600 ohms
Total harmonic distortion 1.8 %
Maximum signal power output 55 W..
my problem is how to determine primary turns and awg wire no# for pri and sec. plz help .. thank you very much all if adress some answers on this, good bless all DIYer's and more power tube 🙂.

You can do it, and in a guitar amp application the steep roll off of the top end might not be an issue.

The material used for power transformer will have significant power losses at higher frequencies (audio).
Research how big a 55W audio transformer is and compare that with what you have.
Hammond Mfg. - "Classic" Push-Pull - Tube Output Transformers - (1608 - 1620, 1645 & 1650 Series) for starters.
