Sunday 16 March from 9 am to 7 pm

How much?
A small fee to cover rental of the room. This is a not-for-profit event. Based on past experience, we anticipate that this year’s fee will be $10 per person (please bring exact change).
Parking: Is free and close by
Recommendation for comfort:
Footwear that was worn outside should be left at the door to minimize the clean-up. You might want to bring indoor shoes or slippers to wear.
Who will be there? Old timers and new comers. Feel free to drop by
Looking forward to seeing you soon. Till then, happy building and listening!

Some teasers...

Two drivers I designed and are in production.
Might even throw them into the obligatory OSB enclosure.
No need to break with tradition....
And the innards of the large tower that is coming.
Dave, you will not know what hit you with this one.
Hope you guys are coming.
And if someone knows someone that has an LCD projector, I would be very happy to do a presentation with sights and sounds.
Calling Mr. Slim, I think you volunteered one time to bring a projector.

Saturday:
Bring your tunes. Listen to what you guys would like to listen to.
It will be an equal opportunity to assault each others ears with what we like best.
If you bring enclosures, or drivers I will be very happy to test them out for you.
I have just a few different mics for R&D measurement now.

What sources are people bringing? That way I'll know what format to bring my songs in 🙂
My DAC supports USB, SPDIF and Toslink.
I'm going to rebuild my chip amp with the 2nd revision boards, some fixes and better caps and try to bring it.

I will bring a universal player. Pioneer SACD player.
And shudder of shudders I'll have a laptop there to.
I will Bring a two channel amp as well.
I'll see of I can twist Adams arms to bring a 12 channel amp.

I should have included Dave (newtoaudio)(c/r #276 in 2013 thread) in the attendees list. So it looks like we'll have 2 Daves to supplement our (usual) 3 Johns.
And yes, Dave, it would be ok for you to post the link to our meeting.
Thanks, Ron

I may have damaged my vamped LPUHP. No case has arrived from the far east yet so I decided to put it all on a small piece of plywood so we could show and tell. Too many aligator clips, I suppose one slipped and one of the + regulators is not working well now,
lots of 120 hz in the output bummer, bummer, no spares either, tripple bummer.

I can relate John.
But come anyway!
The monster speakers are in Toronto tonight, and get their own little airplane seat to arrive here at nine in the AM tomorrow. Fun and games.
Only 190 lbs a piece. Anthony will have to eat his wheaties.

Bad news about the LPUHP, John
Good news about the speakers, Mark. I'm looking forward to hearing them.
For another request... last year, somebody (bearberry/ John?) had some Fostex T50RP headphones that they were planning to mod. If they did, I would definitely like to hear how they turned out.
See you soon!

Tunes. Bring what you want to listen to.
We are not going to be that large a group it looks like.
So it makes some things a little easier.
We can enjoy listening to music more than usual.
Also anyone willing to lend out a LCD projector?

Is there anyone willing to stop by my place near Arnprior to pick up my recently upgraded chipamp and bring it (and also return it at some point)?
I have to take a cab to and from the event and I can't manage that much bulk.

I am going out today for lunch, I could pick it up this afternoon on my way back from Smithfalls. I live in Carp. I could also get it this evening.

Perfect John! I'm actually in Kinburn, so closer than Arnprior 🙂
I'll get in touch with you this afternoon and we'll set something up.

Hi Mark,
As per my PM, I'm trying to track my son down, as he is in possession of the projector..
Hi All, I had great plans to finish up some of the "ongoing" projects, but as usual, life got in the way, and if I do come on Sunday, it will be empty handed...
JD aka John (#3?)

Come anyway. We enjoy the company.
You do not have to bring anything.
You can simply show up and enjoy the stuff that gets there.
And if you can bring a projector that would make my presentation much more enjoyable for all.
