Congratulation! But Your amazing amp needs amazing headphones like, Grado, Senhizer.....IMO 🙂
hello ,
me possible change to headphone to up for good headphone ( possible Scott 🙄 or Bose )
many thank
Congrats on the build.
Perhaps a bit late, but because of the high output impedance of the SRPP stage, you can do with a MUCH lower output cap. In the realm of around 10uF. You could even go with some kind of poly/film cap.

Nice build !
Many OTL headphone amp have an high output impedance which make them not sounding very good with low impedance cans such as Grado (fostex, denon, audio-technica ...).
Beyerdynamic 600ohms, Sennheiser 300-600omhs & "old" AKG 400-600ohms or which where designed with 110ohms output impedance in mind (k701) are far more appropriate in that usage.
Bose headphones are highly NOT well regarded among headphones fan...

Google translate I recon? I don't understand a word your saying.

lol , me crazy , so build ...build ... very good passion to use old tube 😀
many thank 😉
If I'm reading your post right, then there's absolutely no way your getting 870mW into 16 ohm with this amp.

hum hum ...
me test to oscilloscope = = )
calibre 0.5 V to division !
15 V max in crete at crete !
the HP is 16 ohms !
15² / 16² = 15 x 15 = 225 and 16 x 16 = 256 = 0.8789 , possible error ?
P = V²/R, and not V²/R²
since V=I*R, so I=V/R and P=V*I, which makes P=(U*U)/R
Assuming 'crete at crete' means peak to peak, 15Vpp = 5,3Vrms. So P=5.3²/16 = 1,7Wrms into 16 ohms(!) That's impossible with your given schematic.
Are you sure your probes aren't set at 10x while the scope presumes 1x??
Because that would make 1,5Vpp = 0,53Vrms. P=0,53²/16 = 17,5mWrms. Now that's a number that makes a lot more sense.
Since gain is quite high, you'll probably feeding the ECC82's grid with about 0.3Vpp. Anything more and distortion will be much too great.

hello ,
okey , i me crazy for bad calculate 🙁 .
so calibrate is 0.5 V for division , no possible 15 V , no no , 1.5 V ... , pfff me escuse to not re looking me calculate 🙄
so good appréciate me build
