Anyone know where I can find a 12.1" LCD that will accept a regular input? To give some background information, I'm taking the shell of an old laptop (Toshiba Satellite Pro 440CDT) and I'm going to retrofit it with all new desktop parts (ITX motherboard/cpu).. I've got it all figured out with exception to the screen.. I gotta find one around that size or else there's no point..

To get a 12.1" tft, you have to buy one from a laptop and you then have to buy an expensive controller board. The boards usually cost $200-$300 or more, if you can even find one that will work(most companies won't sell single units to conusmers, only bulk lots to manufacturers).

This type of monitor is the closest thing to what you want, but it's only 640*480 I believe, and rather expensive. I really think you'd be better off buying a used laptop, or a low end new one ($799 for a 2.0ghz celeron from dell).
