Oscilloscope Recommendations or Referrals?

"Can you buy that scope for about $150US?" No way. It was over 30kEuro about 10 years ago.
Now it is no longer manufactured, but equivalent models in terms of performance are somewhere around 10-15Keuro.
It is 12biti (real) resolution not mathematically made like many top osciloscope.
Equivalent model on market now are this: https://teledynelecroy.com/oscilloscope/hdo6000.aspx
At home I use a Siglent 2 channels and only 40Mhz.

I don't think you know what you're talking about.
How can you say that a display with a resolution of 800x480 is better than a display with a resolution of 1280x800?
The fact that the display makes a kind of blur so that the pixelation is no longer visible does not make it better. And on the oscilloscope from which I put images (the images in the link were captured by me) you can activate a function that will make the image of the trace appear a little blurry and not see the pixels.
If you say that an 8-bit (12-bit mathematically) oscilloscope is better in resolution compared to one with a 12-bit ADC (15-bit mathematically)? 1Mpoints distributed memory comparing with minimum 64Mpoints per channel?
You say that an educational oscilloscope has a better image than a high-end professional oscilloscope.
This is proof that you have never worked with such an oscilloscope.
The only advantage with the oscilloscope you mentioned is the very low price.

The 2215 (or something similar) would be a great choice for the OP (or anyone repairing audio equipment). The 2400 series Tek scopes are good but have hybrid modules that fail and are difficult to find. There were people resolving the issues with (some of) the modules but I don't know if they're still doing this.

Universities often stock their labs with Rigol and Siglent brand scopes as both of these Companies offer true 3 year parts and labor warranties. Their products that are reliable, built to a good quality level, measure accurately and are generally free of bugs. Both Companies have true service departments that are very responsive to their customers (individuals, corporations and universities). I recommend both the 200 Mhz Rigol DS1202ZE and the Siglent SDS 1202X E models for home use.

You should contact both manufacturers and buy from an authorized reseller if you want the warranty and support coverage. Amazon and other buying sites have an array of sellers that carry "gray market" products that will not be covered by the US warranty. Hope this helps.

Rigol in US lets you buy direct and I think it was free shipping. Watch for sales. I got my scope on sale and saved a few extra bucks.
