I got myself one of these: TO1000 Series-Tablet Oscilloscope
A bit more expensive, I got the 4 channel version (you can never have enough scope channels!), and both touch and mouse control which works well for me.
Optional buttons and knobs for those who want it all.
Battery time about 4-5 hours on a full charge. It has a Wi-Fi interface for total isolation when operated by the mouse.

I designed my own 10 bit dual channel USB scope.
Its pc based via USB.
Has usual digital scope functions plus a spectrum analyser.
Only 17 mega samples/second but adequate for most audio projects.
That's really cool. Maybe you can base the next version off a sound card and get 24 bits?
This would be ideal for audio...
I prefer the USB interface card to stop nasty voltages getting in to the PC.
Its all pretty soft really, I can use any A2D that suits my needs.
I have a low frequency dual channel USB scope that is 3.3 mega samples.
I have the dual channel 17 mega samples version.
And a 22 mega samples dual channel version.
