This amp is using MTP60N06HD as the power supply fets with 100 ohm gate resistors.
Wondering what is the best replacement for the power supply fets ? and do i change the gate resistor value according to what fets i use ?
Also for the regulators in this amp are they using the LM317/337 or are they using 2N6491/2N6488 as the regulators wondering since they are missing from the board
Also would updating the chipset from 494 to a 594 be beneficial or not really

10 ohms, more likely. They;'re OK.
3205 (best?)
If it has a zener with the regulated voltage on leg 1, rail on leg 2 and the 3rd leg is output, 88/91.

Also 2 other questions.
Would switching the chipset from 494 to 594 be beneficial or not really?
And would these be good replacements for the switches?

I doubt it. I only order the 594 so if it were bad, that's what I'd use but for no other reason than that's what I'd have.
I don't know about the switches. If they are correct dimensionally, they should work.

I started putting the gate resistors in this amp.
I ran into a problem already with this amp.
I checked for solder bridges and didnt find any.
Problem i'm having is from pads 2 to 3 for the power supply fets i'm getting 1 ohm
Any ideas on what might cause this?

Took the fuses out .
1 supply i'm getting 1 ohm between pads 2-3
The other supply i'm getting readings in the K ohms range like its charging a cap

Try twisting the transformer. Also be aware that these boards will hold solder on the rough edge of the board and bridge where it;'s not visible from overhead.
I don't but if it's connected to the corresponding parts of the other supply as the other 470uf, I'd assume that it's the same value.
DO you happen to have a pic of the power supply section of an Orion 2100 HCCA?
Im thinking the 2100 is very close to this amp and i need to see if i can find the value of this cap and there is another cap or diode missing

The photos I have show the 2100 that has the caps laying down (axial configuration) in the primary and secondary.
I think i have the caps figured out.
I'm going to order new caps for this amp since some are missing and others are old i want all matching caps.
What would yo recommend Nichicon or Panasonic caps or doesn't really make a difference ?

This amp is missing 1 of the FEP30DP rectifiers.
Would the SF304C be a good replacement?
