The amp is either drawing excess current for some reason or it's starving for current (more likely). Do you have a supply with a higher current rating?
Perry good news once I connected the amp to a car 12 vol battery I am getting about 30v at the rectifier. Should be good right?

can it only be used for summed mono (bridged) or can it also be used as mixed mono (right+left+bridged)?
You can use it for either. It's not summed but you're unlikely to tell any difference with a sub, alone.
If you use it in tri-mode, you'll need to reverse the wiring for the right highs/mids speakers.
