If they are only signal lines then I agree. You aren't really going the 'extension cord' path, so no issue with respect to interconnecting cable availability.
In one (or more) of those pics there's a speaker facing "into" the volume pedal box - what in the world is that for?

As far as I can tell, that 5.25" speaker has a physical tremolo to it, and it's really annoying. You can hardly hear anything from it but a warbling sound.
There are some thicker cables through the furthest left hole. I think these are power cables of some sort for the oscillators.
