Forget about the channel built around V7, V12 and V13, as this one only serves as the "tremolo modulator" by varying the current through the voice coils. The other two channels are suitable as bass and treble channels after an active x-over.

Man, that's one weird design 😀
I'm presuming the bottom amp part is modulating the electro-magnets used as magnets on the speakers? - not the voice coil as Kay suggested.
I've never seen it done, but DC power speakers were 'reasonably' common in the very old days, we used to use two old ex-cinema 18" ones for a fixed disco we used to do at a club in the 70's.
I was given all the old cinema PA, which consisted of 2 DC powered 18 inch BTH drivers, a single treble horn (with a wooden mesh horn), and 6 feet of 19" rack containing a 4W amplifier with just a single volume control on the front.
We were a little concerned about the power handling of the speakers? (as the amp was only 4W) but we happily fed it from a TUAC 125W RMS amplifier module, and they handled it fine.
The amp I gave away! 😀

Yes, you're right, of course, Nigel! I had confused field coils with voice coils. Shame on me!

Yes it modulates the speaker magnet coils. I have all the original speakers but I doubt I will be using them. The 12"s are CTS and I think the field coil 5"s are Magnavox.
I had an old Wurlitzer organ that was a garage sale queen....it had two 6V6 tubes for outputs that I had similar plans for. I ended up taking the output transformer and building a 5E3 around it. I guess you could say that I did extensive mods to it!
Sounds great!
