Oracle Delphi MK IV speed problem

Hello, I am new here. Maybe someone have an answer for this problem I have. I have a very nice Oracle Delphi MK IV. Not upgraded. I am having problems with the speed. I can't get it to go at the right speed. It is too slow. Using the adjustments do change the speed but not up to the correct one. Any ideas? Maybe I need a new motor. Or the upgrade.

Many thanks,

Eric

It's an old thread but compared to the mk IV it's quite recent ;-)

Anybody know how the speed control actually operates?
The motor is Berger Lahr 50/8 (?)
On the main circuit board is a wien bridge oscillator with separate adjustment for 33 1/3 and 45 rpm. There is another common adjustment on the (tiny) operating board and this controls the run / speed / stop functions, it's somehow giving a signal to the oscillator.
Looking for possibility to improve speed stability.
