I have an optocoupler which needs replaced. It is an AC input type but I'm not entirely
certain which it is according to its markings. I dont want to make the mistake of ordering
the wrong device. Below is a photo of the device with its markings.
The top row is V022T, the bottom is Q-814.

My thought is that this might be a possible replacement, but looking for more input to be sure.

Thanks.

Do you know whether the output is a transistor (most common), SCR, or Triac? If all else fails, you might consider using the K814P from Vishay.

That's the part I'm not entirely sure about, whether its a transistor or Triac.
Plus if it is transistor whether it's a single or darlington output.
There are several of them which appear to be drivng the inputs of an IC (DS2003), which is just
a series of darlington transistors. http://www.ti.com.cn/cn/lit/ds/symlink/ds2003.pdf
The outputs of the DS2003 are then used to control a series of relays.

The drive for darlington transistors would have to be a DC voltage. Thus the output of the opto isolator is most likely a phototransistor. Finding DC voltage present on Pin 6 of the optoisolator would be the most likely indicator of that, with the load drive coming out pin 4. . If the device is 4 pin, those feed the voltage in to the load side on pin 4 usually and out to the load on pin 3.

The 814 seems to be an industry standard ac input transistor output opto

and Data Sheet - HCPL-814 000E: Lead Free AC Input Phototransistor Optocoupler High Density Mounting Type (213 KB)
Various brands should be interchangeable

OK, So apparently what I have is indeed an 814. It's just a brand with making I wasn't able to fully identify. Thanks.
